Contempo Chocolates is a sister company to Contempo Concepts, which was started in the early 1960’s and incorporated in May of 1994. Originally a furniture manufacturing company in New York City, Contempo Concepts was moved to Winston -Salem, NC where they became a retailer of fine imported contemporary furniture, curated from fashion forward counties throughout Europe. On several trips to Europe, especially Belgium, we started bringing back chocolates from chocolatiers such as Neuhaus, Whittimer, Mary’s, and de Granvelle.

In 1999 we opened our first Contempo Chocolates Boutique inside our newly restored 1920’s flagship store in Downtown Winston Salem. It was a huge success and we have been offering fine Belgian Chocolates for the past 23 years.

In the upcoming year we plan to expand our chocolate selection and offer additional items that compliment our chocolate boutique.
