Shipping Information
Due to the nature of chocolate, we will take extra precautions, including using innovative cold packaging including Styrofoam cooler boxes & freezer gel packs to keep your chocolates cool, ensuring your chocolates arrive in the best possible condition. In order for these shipping precautions to be effective, it is important for your order to arrive in a timely manner once it has shipped. While we generally ship all orders with UPS or USPS, certain ground shipping options are not available in all areas. For certain warm weather areas, only next day shipping options are available.
Contempo Chocolates offers nation-wide shipping to our customers. We work diligently to ensure that your chocolate is delivered to you fresh and in good condition.
SHIPPING RATES AND METHODS
Shipping rates are determined by USPS or UPS, based both on the total weight of the order and the distance the shipment will travel. We ship with USPS and UPS offer ground shipping only to certain areas of the country. Unfortunately, we cannot offer ground shipping n to all destinations because our chocolate is time and temperature sensitive – we want our chocolate to reach you and your gift recipients looking and tasting just as fresh as it does when it leaves our shop.
If you are placing your order after 10:00 am EST, your order will NOT be shipped until the following business day. Orders are NOT shipped on Fridays, Saturdays or Sundays to ensure minimal time in transit. Orders placed after 4:00 pm Wednesday will NOT ship until the following Monday. Shipments are not picked up or delivered during national holidays. You will receive email confirmation when your order is shipped.
We currently only ship to the contiguous United States. Please note that we cannot ship to P.O. Boxes or international destinations. We are not responsible for delivery delays experienced by USPS or UPS due to weather or mechanical error and are, therefore, unable to offer refunds for those reasons.
DELIVERY DATES
Unfortunately, due to circumstances beyond our control, we are unable to guarantee delivery dates. If you have any questions or need assistance with your order please contact our customer service team at info.contempoconcepts@gmail.com.
REQUEST FOR SHIPPING ADDRESS CHANGE
We will do our best to meet your request for changing shipping addresses. However, we are not responsible for reshipping if the order has already shipped. Please review your shipping addresses at the time of purchase.
NO SIGNATURE REQUIRED
All orders are shipped “no signature required ” which means the package will be left at the shipping address, which may mean simply left on a residential doorstep. We are not responsible if the package is lost or stolen or melted after it has been delivered.
TEMPERATURE CONDITIONS
In order to help to protect your chocolate, we will ship it in an insulated container with gel ice packs. While these can help to prevent chocolate from melting, they are only effective for a limited period of time which can vary depending on temperatures in the area to which they are shipped and through which they travel. In areas where temperatures will be above 72F, we recommend next day air shipping to best protect your order. If you have chosen ground shipping, we are not responsible if the chocolates arrive melted and will not offer any refund. Please note that late spring and all through the summer we only offer Expedited shipping to most states.
PACKING SLIPS
Each order includes a packing slip with a list of products in the box. We do not include any paperwork with pricing in our shipments.
